| We had a Foster Freeze in the 1000 block of South State Street. It was the local hangout of the cool kids. There also was a Mr. Frostie and that had a large ice cream cone out front. That is all that is left of that. It is on the 700 block of south state street. There was the Snow White hamburger joint where Jaws is now on north state street. Then the PDQ hamburger place is now where the New Release Video is now. Mostly the cars would drive from the truck stop to talmage road and look for where their friends were hanging out that night and go there. Pull up in their cars and talk and eat where every body was hanging out. | |
